Who is your target customer?

To effectively market your product or service, you should clearly define your target customer.  Who are your customers? By creating a profile on your desired customer demographics, you will be able to more effectevely target your online marketing and advertising. Learning about your prospective customers' online habits will help you to place advertisements on the web more effectively.  This will help increase awareness of your product or service. 

What are you selling? Why is it so unique? How does it compare to others? Who are you selling it to? Why should people buy the product or service from you?

You need to focus on your primary market. Many business owners believe their products or services are for everyone. But even if your product appeals to the masses, you need to identify who your ideal consumer is.

Research your market, and know what your competition is doing.   Visit competitor websites and study what they are doing and how you can improve your own site.  Use this information to see if you can differentiate your business from  your competition by targeting customer needs and attracting business.
